Changing the selected network changes what you view and interact with; it does not bridge assets. Creating an account and importing an existing one are different actions. Import recovery information only in a verified wallet client.
A practical way to use this guide
For a receipt, choose the network before copying the address. For a transfer, check the fee token and recipient support. Connecting a site can expose an address; a subsequent signature or token approval needs a separate review.
