Wallets, addresses and your first transfer
Work through the four checks below, then use the related tools or contact support if an account-specific question remains.
Three things to separate
A wallet is an interface. An address identifies a destination. Private keys or recovery credentials control signing. An exchange UID is not a blockchain address. The same-looking address on two networks does not mean the balances are shared.
Check both ends
Select the receiving network, copy its address, then choose the same supported network and asset at the sending end. Check whether a memo and minimum deposit apply. Use a small test before sending the remainder.
When a transfer fails
A token balance does not necessarily cover the network fee. Check the network, native fee token and transaction status. An internal exchange transfer follows a different route from an on-chain withdrawal.
Practise without moving money
Find the network name and receiving address in your wallet. You should be able to explain which asset on which network you would receive. Never share recovery credentials as part of the exercise.
This is an independently written practical guide. Product availability, network support and exchange terms can change. Verify the relevant product screen before acting; examples are not live quotes.
